Making the “Little Things” Top Priority

I have been a digi scrapper for 7 years, and during that time I have scrapped a lot of layouts. But the thing that is surprising to most people is that holidays, birthdays and special events are tough for me to scrap. The natural focus of my layouts is everyday life.

November Calendar Girl Becki WrightI suppose it may be because I was adopted by my parents when I was 7 years old, and I don’t have many pictures of me as a child. I may have overcompensated with our daughter and the thousands upon thousands of photos we have of her.

But I take photos and scrap about our daily life, for all of us to be able to remember the little things. How much I love my iPod, the day my camera arrived in the mail, my husband and I at the bookstore, my daughter’s Littlest Pet Shop toys, my favorite tea, what I made for dinner last night, the list goes on and on.

It’s the little things that make up the memories of our life, and I want to make sure it is properly documented for our family and future generations.

Wow… I love your candy apple red layout… It really hit me emotionally! I have those days, too…
And I also do not have lots of photos from my youth…and find I am constantly taking photos of everything!

    Beautiful layouts…beautiful life!
