Read on to get to know her even better …

Please tell us a little about yourself … your family, your pets,  your backgroundI have 4 kids (7-year-old twin girls, a 3-year-old boy and a 19-month-old boy) and a DH whom I haven’t yet got around to marrying! At present we have no pets though it would be lovely to have a cat or dog again. Oh we do have sea monkeys sometimes…but they die easily!

How long have you been a scrapbooker & how did you first get started? I started scrapping 5.5yrs ago. My mum’s group was doing scrapbooking as an activity and I so didn’t want to do it! But it only took one Google search to realize what I was missing and I went shopping before my first class! I started digi about the same time but didn’t actually realize it. I had no idea that digital scrapbooking existed, yet I was creating invitations in Photoshop sticking extractions of my kids on cartoon ponies and things! I created my first digital page before I knew about digital scrapbooking, too…but then didn’t start for real until January 08.

How has your scrapbooking changed since that time? My scrapping has changed immensely. I used to love my oval cutters…and now you won’t see an oval within cooee of my pages! The one thing that hasn’t changed is that I never like to do or use the same thing twice. So I am always trying new products, techniques and styles…and so my scrapping is constantly evolving.

What fills your time when you are NOT scrapbooking? Um…well I guess I am supposed to be cleaning the house during that time …but I tend to browse the forums instead! lol But seriously on weekends we always try to do something with the kids. Usually it’s the beach or pools, going to the park or for a barbecue, mini golf, spending time with extended family.  For myself I love reading, taking photos, photo editing and relaxing.

How do you choose what to include in your scrapbooks? They choose me! I scrap whatever is inspiring me at the time. It may be a photo, a memory, a funny thing one of my kids said, a challenge…

What types of materials do you use when you scrapbook? I use Photoshop 7, my Wacom pen and my computer. I really need to upgrade my program as it is about 15 years old now but my computer is too old for the newer versions! I am yet to print any of my pages but when I do I will make photo books and also fill up my Creative Memories albums with single pages.

Where do you find inspiration for your pages? The photo or journaling inspires me and I go from there. Sometimes I will have a ‘look’ in my head that I aim towards and other times I just keep throwing things at the page until it comes together!

Who are your scrapbooking role models? I don’t have any role models as such. There are some scrappers whose work I really admire…but I don’t consciously try to imitate their layouts. I find scrap-lifting and using templates more difficult than creating from scratch! However I won’t deny that my style changes subconsciously as I find new artists to admire. Some of my favorites at the moment are Amanda Resende, scarletsierra, and She (Monika).

What is something your scrapbooking friends probably don’t know about you? My online and offline personalities are complete opposites! Not by choice though. Online I tend to be a little loud, silly and cheeky and this is the real me. In the real world, I can’t understand what people are saying when there is background noise, so in a crowd of 3 or more I tend to just stay quiet because I find it difficult to follow the conversation. Over the years this has made me into what you would call a ‘quiet’ person..yet in reality (or out of it lol) I don’t see myself that way! Also my entire body is partly numb! I have an extreme hyper-sensitivity to codeine…and became partially numb after an operation a few years ago. It’s something you get used to though!

What is on your scrapbooking “wish list”? Well  the main things are a laptop and Photoshop CS4. I don’t have a kit wishlist…I just grab the stuff I love as it comes out and hope DH doesn’t check the account! Lol

What is your favorite quote? I love this one from Confucius….when I see flaws in others I try to always look to see if I have similar flaws and then work towards fixing them.

“When we see persons of worth, we should think of equaling them; when we see persons of a contrary character, we should turn inwards and examine ourselves.”

~ Confucius

What do you hope future viewers of your scrapbooks will gain from your pages? I hope they can get a glimpse of the real me from my pages. I scrap my feelings and memories and I try to make the look of my pages convey the feelings that are going through me while creating them. I also want my children to be able to ‘see’ how much I love them and to have a record of their everyday lives and their personalities.

What is your best tip for fellow scrapbookers? Scrap for yourself. Don’t try to scrap for comments or you will never be content. If you scrap what makes you happy and you love the page then you will never have any scrap regrets in the future!

Anything else you’d like to add? My personal scrap goal is to make all of my pages meaningful. I regret making pretty pages in the past that had absolutely no significance and so I am so thankful to have the continued motivation from Log Your Memory to help me achieve my goal!

Please tell us a little about yourself … your family, your pets,  your backgroundI’m a wife and mum of two boys aged 4 and 5 months. I’m a teacher in the early years when not on maternity leave. We have two dogs. I live a pretty suburban life!

How long have you been a scrapbooker & how did you first get started? I first started paper scrapping some time ago. Teachers love anything to do with stationery. I loved all the wiggly scissors. I found digi when I started to put text on my photos to add interest to layouts. I thought I invented digi scrapping…

How has your scrapbooking changed since that time? When I started I was into blending and creating magazine-type layouts. Then I discovered the digi scrap community and became all about products- how many elements can I put on one page?! I think I’ve come full circle now, striving for a more simple look, while making sure I am recording the stories of our lives.

What fills your time when you are NOT scrapbooking? Ummm…small children.

How do you choose what to include in your scrapbooks? I love to start with the photo and/or story and work from there. I never scrap in order of anything, I just grab whatever inspires me. Sometimes I have to scrap an event the day it happens, but I also love going way back to do more reflective journaling.

What types of materials do you use when you scrapbook? Digital kits- especially those with really good papers and a few unique elements. I love to print up bound albums, it’s very rewarding.

Where do you find inspiration for your pages? From the photos and stories themselves, and from galleries.

Who are your scrapbooking role models? Jaime Choi and Amanda Taylor are examples of the kind of scrapping I aspire to- simple clean designs and powerful journaling.

What is something your scrapbooking friends probably don’t know about you? That I am super messy. My brain is organized. My home is not.

What is on your scrapbooking “wish list”? Time! More time to spend with family and friends creating memories, and time to scrap the memories. OK, I really really want a fabulous zoom lens and speedlight for my DSLR.

What is your favorite quote?

Be the change you want to see.”

~ Ghandi

What do you hope future viewers of your scrapbooks will gain from your pages? I hope my kids look at these albums and appreciate the efforts I make to record the emotions of our daily moments. I’m quite sure they will be focused on the bad hairstyles though!

What is your best tip for fellow scrapbookers? Have fun with your scrapping! I found I enjoy it much more when my focus is on the real-life recording, and not necessarily technique and trend-driven. Get some words on your page!

Q&A with Heather

Monday, October 26th, 2009

I’m thrilled to share an interview this week with Creative Team Member Heather Guenther. I had the privilege of meeting Heather in person this summer  at a digital scrapbooking event in San Antonio after spending several months chatting with her on Facebook and through the Designer Digitals site. This gal is everything she seems … and so much more. Incredibly generous, always friendly and an amazing resource.  I’m so happy to have her on our Creative Team.

Read on and get to know her a little better yourself…

Heather (aka hguenthe)

Heather (hguenthe)

Name: Heather Guenther

Username: hguenthe

Location: South of Atlanta, GA

Please tell us a little about yourself … your family, your pets, your backgroundI am a stay-at-home wife & cat mom. Originally from Canada, my husband Mike and I live in krazy Kittehpile land now in a small town on the south end of the Atlanta area. We are in the progress of adopting out the kittens from a pregnant stray we rescued this summer. Four of the 6 kittens and the mother have all been adopted out now. However, we still have 2 kittens living with us in addition to our own cats… and from the looks of things, the 2 remaining kittens likely will be staying with us as they have us twisted around their loving & cute paws.

I have a degree in economics but left corporate work a few years back to focus more on leading a less stressful, healthier life. I spent a couple of years as an Office Manager for a chiropractic/wellness clinic and working on my accounting degree as I have always loved numbers. However, I put it aside when we decided to take an adventure & seize a work opportunity for my husband in the US. I am lucky enough to have a very supportive husband who also shares my belief that leading a happy life is more important than money. That as long as we are together, we can get through anything.

How long have you been a scrapbooker & how did you first get started? I began digital scrapbooking around October 2007. I had been wanting to do something with our wedding photos from a few years before that were still just sitting in my computer. Due to my new stay-at-home wife status in the US, I found that I had lots of time on my hands but no hobbies, as I never had made the time for them before.

Since I had recently made the switch to a Mac at that time, I didn’t have any photo editing software on my machine. My husband and I took a trip to the local Apple store and I came home with Photoshop Elements 4. Inside the box, I found an advertisement for Scrapper’s Guide and headed to their Web site. I signed up and spent a couple months at their site.

In my time there, I started noticing a number of digital scrapbooking products that I really loved. I fell in love with Anna Aspnes’ Hipster Plumes and Googled her. I ended up at Designer Digitals and made that my scrapbooking home. It was my exclusive scrapbooking home until recently when a couple of my favorite designers moved to other stores. I began looking around and learning about a lot more designers and scrapbooking styles. I now spend a lot of my time at twopeasinabucket.com as well as spending time at Designer Digitals… and of course, mostly spend my time with my buddy Kristin & new friends at Log Your Memory… and certainly can’t forget, I am a Facebook junkie connecting with scrapbooking friends from all over. It is a wonderful world of scrapbooking supplies out there with something for everyone, something for every mood, something for every season.

How has your scrapbooking changed since that time? The inspiration in the different galleries from all sorts of different scrapbookers with all sorts of different styles has really shaped and changed my scrapbooking. It is still changing everyday as I continue to learn something new or improve my skills daily. I have learned a lot more technically about the software (now I use CS4) as well as learned a lot more about what styles I am drawn to and why. I have learned to look deeper at pages and pull out why I am drawn to them. Praise and recognition from fellow scrapbookers is always wonderful and teaches me more about my style and where I can improve, but I have learned that as long as I love a page and it captures the memory I want to record, then it is perfect for me.

What fills your time when you are NOT scrapbooking? A lot of my day is either scrapbooking or scrapbook-related. I love photography, sewing and cooking as well as spending time with friends, be it in person or via Facebook, email, forums and blogs. I also enjoy spending time with our cats and kittens.

How do you choose what to include in your scrapbooks? I choose to usually scrap based on a photo that speaks to me or tells a story that I want to remember. A look, a smile, something funny or cute that happened. Everyday memories. Since I am scrapping mainly for the creative outlet it gives me, I tend to scrap emotionally and jump around as to what I scrap and when. If there is a photo that I just adore, I will scrap it multiple times. If there is a story that I may capture with minimal journaling on one page but want to tell more of the story or another aspect of the story, then I will scrap it from another angle.

Generally, I will have an idea of a story or trip I want to scrap and then let the photo I pick tell which aspect of the story to tell. Picking that photo is about 90% of the time dictated by which one grabs my eye & holds on, and everything just begins to fall into place around it. Because I don’t limit myself to only scrapping a photo or memory once, I find that looking at a photo or jotted down memory at a later date or looking at a different photo from that time will springboard me into telling another piece of that day or photo.

What types of materials do you use when you scrapbook? I am a strictly digital scrapper so far. By getting to know a couple of the designers I CT for better, I am finding that I am thinking more and more about trying out some hybrid. My Christmas cards this year are going to be hybrid. Anyone have any bandaids I could have? ;)

However, so much of what I adore about scrapbooking, I just can’t do with paper and don’t have the artistic talent to do myself with brushes or pencils so digital is my first love. As well, I love the price tag of digital scrapbooking so much more to the cost of all the tools I would need to do it with paper.

I mainly keep my layouts digital on my computer and in galleries and shared on my blog. However, I am also beginning to get quite the stack of Shutterfly books of my layouts.  My Shutterfly books are a combination of specific theme books, like trips we have taken or photos from our different beach trips and books of just random pages I have done within a specific time period. I love both ways of putting the albums together. By printing books out every couple of months, I find that looking back, I can really see a progression in my learning of digital scrapbooking and in my learning about myself and the style I am formulating for myself.

Where do you find inspiration for your pages? Mainly, I find my inspiration for my pages by browsing galleries and taking note of specific scrapbookers’ work that I am drawn to and then piecing together why I am drawn to certain layouts over others in terms of color combinations, design layouts, products used, etc.

Over the last year, I have begun taking it farther and being more aware of my surroundings and finding inspiration in everyday sights. For instance, this week I was in an airport waiting for a flight and took notice of an informational sign they had hanging about the airport’s expansion going on. There was nothing exciting about the information on the sign but I did find their titling caught my eye. The block color design with their type made me start thinking about how I could develop a layout around that style. So I snapped a photo of it with my phone and have plans to do a layout inspired by its design. Ideas can come from the most unsuspecting places and I find them some of the most enticing and exciting layouts I put together.

Who are your scrapbooking role models? Scrapbooking role models… hmm… this is a hard one for me as I find my inspiration from all sorts of different scrapbookers and designers. I don’t know much about most of the really “big name” scrapbookers. I guess mainly because I have found so much inspiration and learned so much just by being part of scrapbooking forums and communities.

However, I would say that I really admire Anna Aspnes. Her work was the first to really grab me and pull me into scrapbooking. She has such a beautiful style and flair about her. I love how she scrapbooks her own way and that is just the way it is. She encourages people to play and explore and try things outside of their normal boxes. Her creativity and passion shines through in her pages and design products. And to top it off, she is a top-notch, really lovely person. I had a product request of her to go with a product she had done and she was a pure delight to work with making sure that she was understanding what I was asking for. Not only did she create a product that was exactly what I was asking for, she took it a step farther and exceeded my expectations! Anna is someone who I would love to get to know better and would be so very proud to call a friend.

What is something your scrapbooking friends probably don’t know about you? That I am willing to share with them… not much as I am a pretty open book with my scrapbooking. However, probably would have to say that most wouldn’t know that I am really quiet and shy in person as I am anything but quiet with my typing. As well, they probably don’t know that I share the same name as my mother-in-law so if they are looking for me on Facebook, I am the Heather Guenther with an E in the middle.

What is on your scrapbooking “wish list”? Illustrator… I love to learn new programs and it is one that I think would be really cool to learn. The more I learn about how digital scrapbooking supplies are made and all of the hard work that the designers put into their products, the more I am so happy they do, so that I can spend a few dollars instead of a number of hours with my head in my hands crying. They save me so much time so that I can scrap more but I do so love learning and trying new things.

What is your favorite quote? “Only people without a memory think that they are original. What matters is form, composition, color and the way light falls. Details come from recollections of things you’ve seen and loved.” – Barbara Berry

What do you hope future viewers of your scrapbooks will gain from your pages? A glimpse of the love I have for my husband, our cats, our family and our friends. That they will be able to see that we care more about enjoying life and laughing than what material things bring to one’s life. That they will see that the truly important things in life are often priceless and everyday, ordinary moments shared with loved ones and are not to be squandered.

What is your best tip for fellow scrapbookers? Be true to yourself. Create for yourself.

Anything else you’d like to add? If I add anything else, my husband is going to curl up on the floor and die of hunger. Must feed him dinner now. ;)

Q & A with Jen D

Monday, October 19th, 2009

I’m excited to share our first Creative Team Member interview today, featuring the amazing Jen D. Not only is this lady an extremely talented scrapper (and the ONLY scrapbooker I know that is actually “caught up,” at least most of the time!) but she is also a very friendly, generous & encouraging friend who I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know much better over the past several months.

Follow along and you’ll soon see what I mean …

Please tell us a little about yourself … your family, your pets,  your background I am a SAHM of three amazing kiddos and a wonderful husband.  We have three yorkies, a tortoise and a fish.  I went to college to be an elementary teacher but decided when I had kids I didn’t want to be away from them and decided it was my kids I wanted to be around not other people’s.  I loved photography in college and wish I would have changed my major when I had those first thoughts… but I was scared and too close to finishing.  Hindsight is 20/20.  So, I have a degree I don’t use… but a love for photography that has given me a new career path.  It is also a career that I dictate and it allows me to stay home.  It also fuels my huge passion for scrapbooking because I am never without a photo… even when my kid is in the emergency room ;)

How long have you been a scrapbooker & how did you first get started? I have “scrapbooked” since I was a kid… but back then it was a glue stick, a notebook pad, some construction paper and magazine clippings.  I went to my very first Creative Memories party when I was 18 and I have been hooked ever since.  I found digital scrapbooking when I was up late nursing my youngest daughter… there was a product on HSN.  I bought it and was unhappy with the limited results… I Googled digital scrapbooking and the rest is history!

How has your scrapbooking changed since that timeMy desire for chronological scrapbooking hasn’t changed and the reason I scrapbook has never changed but my style is NIGHT and DAY!  =)

What fills your time when you are NOT scrapbooking? My God, my family, photography and I love to read when I get the chance.

How do you choose what (photos, stories, events, etc.) to include in your scrapbooks? Because I am a chronological scrapper and I don’t like to miss a beat… just about everything goes in.  I will pick the best photos but I try to include everything from event scrapping to everyday.  I think I made over 300 pages so far this year, if that tells you anything… =)

What types of materials do you use when you scrapbook? I am 100% digital… but I do print them online and put them in D-ring albums with page protectors.  My kids love to go through their books and I need something to protect my hard work!

Where do you find inspiration for your pages I love to scan galleries online and I like to read scrapbooking magazines.  I think mostly it is the pictures.  The emotional connection I have with them tells my story.

Who are your scrapbooking role models? I have many people that I draw inspiration from.  I don’t know that I have anybody that I really try to pattern after.

What is something your scrapbooking friends probably don’t know about youHmmmm… they read my journaling so probably not much.  I am an open book for the most part. If they have a question, I would be happy to answer it!

What is on your scrapbooking “wish list”My wish list is always for product that produces “paper quality” scrapbook pages.  I was a paper scrapper for 10 years so I like mine to look as if they were made with actual paper.  So, when I see new product in the scrapbook magazines, I cross my fingers that they make their way into my digital world.

What do you hope future viewers of your scrapbooks will gain from your pagesI hope they see the love I had for my family. I hope my kids are able to go back and relive their childhood flipping through the pages.  Mostly I want them as time capsules for when Tony and I are old and gray swinging on our front porch.  I want to remember what a wonderfully blessed life we lived and I don’t want to forget a single minute.

What is your best tip for fellow scrapbookers Scrapbook with your heart.  Don’t focus on the load of pictures that sits in front of you… just take it day by day.  Whatever you finish will be treasured!

Anything else you’d like to add? Hmmmmm… I am usually quite the talker but can’t think of anything else.  As I said before my journaling is pretty extensive and I don’t think I leave a drop to the imagination! =)

Wanted: “Real Life” Inspiration

Monday, October 12th, 2009

One of the most valuable roles at any quality scrapbooking site is a Creative Team leading the way by example. It is largely the Creative Team that keeps the conversations going in the forums, takes the lead in offering support and encouragement, leaves lots of praise on member layouts and creates original works of art to inspire the rest of us in our own scrapbooking.

Heather Guenther

Heather Guenther

Jen DeLorenzo

Jen DeLorenzo

I am excited to announce we have two amazingly talented scrapbookers, who also happen to be wonderful, generous people and personal friends of mine, who have agreed to serve on our first Log Your Memory Creative Team. We are very lucky to have Heather Guenther (hguenthe) and Jen DeLorenzo (Jen D) at the head of our new team.

I am anxious to introduce them both to you in much greater depth, which I will begin doing next week. For now, know that we are all in very good hands and can look forward to loads of inspiration coming from their direction in the coming weeks. Watch for them in the forum and gallery and you’ll soon see what I mean…

Even this amazing pair shouldn’t have to work alone, so we will be adding approximately 4 to 6 members to the Creative Team in the next month or so. Perhaps YOU would make a great addition to our team! There are several perks to being on the team, including receiving a FREE copy of the Scrapbooker’s All-In-One Memory Logbook and the opportunity to help shape this young site. In exchange, CT members agree to provide us with lots of inspiration, insight & involvement for a one-year period.

Think you might be a good candidate for the team? Read more about the opportunity & expectations HERE. Already on a CT for someone else? That’s okay, too, as long as you can fulfill the commitments for the Log Your Memory team, and your other designer or store does not have an issue with your involvement. In fact, we encourage existing CT members to consider this opportunity as it provides an added arena through which to promote your favorite designer or store.

If you’d like to apply for our Creative Team, you can do so HERE. The deadline for this round of applications is Monday, November 2nd. The new team will be announced a week or so later and will hit the ground running in mid-November to help us gear up for the launch of our weekly challenges, which will begin January 1st.

I’m looking forward to meeting my future Creative Team!! :)

Introducing the Memory Logbook

Friday, October 9th, 2009

I am very excited to introduce the core product at Log Your Memory – the Scrapbooker’s All-In-One Memory Logbook. This book is my answer to a problem common among busy scrapbookers … too many memories & not enough time to scrap them.

Memory_Logbooks_closeup

Picture this scenario: Your daughter says the cutest thing. You manage to write it on a scrap of paper and tuck it in your purse. Later in the day, you catch your hubby doing that thing he always does and think to yourself, “I oughta scrap that.”

The next afternoon, you take some great shots of your son and his game-winning play, proud as punch when you overhear the other parents comment on what a great sport he is. You manage to scribble a couple notes on the calendar fridge about it when you get home. You list the great birthday gifts you received on the desk calendar in your office.

Later in the week, you see a layout idea in your favorite magazine that triggers an idea for that album you’ve been meaning to start. You grab a notebook to sketch it out, but then get sidetracked and start your grocery list on the next page.

By the time the weekend comes, it’s time for laundry and cleaning and … you haven’t had a moment to yourself, even less time to scrapbook. That scrap of paper in your purse? Crumpled & buried with all of the other stuff you pack around all day long. And all of those great ideas and wonderful memories – some that you managed to write down, others that didn’t quite make it that far – are threatening to slip away before you have time to find them all again, let alone do anything with them.

Here is how the Memory Logbook can help.

This book is intended to take the place of all of those scraps of paper and multiple calendars and half-filled notebooks. It will provide you with one consistent place to write down your family’s schedule, jot down those special moments you want to remember, sketch out those layout ideas, even write out your shopping list if you’d like.

But it goes beyond that. Through a series of weekly challenge questions and a variety of questionnaires and worksheets, the Memory Logbook will get you thinking about the parts of your life you might be overlooking in your regular scrapbooking, particularly if you’re struggling just to keep up with your life.

Your daily routines. Your strange habits. The ways you are like your siblings or parents. The things your kids do that remind you of your own childhood. The stuff that makes up your “real” life … and the memories that will most likely prove to be quite revealing when you look back a few years down the road. Spend a few minutes at the end of each day jotting down a few notes in your Logbook and when you do finally find some time to scrapbook, you’ll know exactly where to start.

Logbook-open

The Memory Logbook includes …

• Monthly calendars for at-a-glance planning & documentation.

• Daily calendars where you can jot down your schedule or make notes about things that happened that day.

• Space at the bottom of the daily calendar pages to document your memories, jot down ideas, create a gratitude list or whatever suits your purpose.

• Your own personal “Story List”… a checklist where you can list all of those pages and stories you know you want to share but haven’t had a chance to complete yet. Write them down so you don’t forget and when you have some time to scrap, you’ll know right where to start.

• A page every week where you can sketch your ideas for scrapbook layouts you’d like to do.

Logbook_interior_closeup

• Weekly challenge questions to get your creative juices flowing and help you tell the “real” story of your life.

• Examples of “real life” scrapbook layouts that go along with several of the weekly challenge topics for added inspiration.

• A questionnaire repeated every month to help you track how life changes over the course of the year.

• An annual questionnaire and price sheet to help set the stage for where you are in your life right now and the world you live in. Take a few minutes to fill this one in and it will provide a fun look back at “the good old days” many years from now.

• Monthly worksheets for documenting family holidays, plus extra pages at the back of the book for birthdays and other celebrations that you may or may not get around to scrapping but you still want to remember.

• A handy list of 2011 holidays on the last page, plus a place to jot down birthdays and other important family dates.

Logbooks

The 2010 edition of the Scrapbooker’s All-In-One Memory Logbook is available in three formats – coil-bound (also known as spiral-bound), perfect-bound (like your typical softcover book), or as an eBook that you download and can then print yourself or take to your local print shop. (If the print-it-yourself version interests you, be on the lookout next week for tips on how to customize the book with a few simple additions.)

As an added benefit, owners of the Memory Logbook are eligible to join the Log Your Memory Book Club and enjoy special privileges on this site. Click HERE for details.

• Wife to an avid outdoorsman who also happens to be the publisher of the local newspaper where we met back when we were both reporters;

• Native Montanan with a not-so-secret desire to live somewhere a little less “rural;”

• Digi-scrapping addict who favors documenting the everyday much more than the big events.

You can find out even more about me by taking a peek at the layout I created for our first official Challenge at Log Your Memory, which brings me to my next announcement…

Today is the official start to the Log Your Memory Grand Opening Kickoff Contest! One lucky winner will receive a FREE copy of my new book – the Scrapbooker’s All-In-One Memory Logbook 2010 in your choice of spiral-bound, coil-bound or downloadable eBook format. To enter, check out the contest guidelines HERE. The deadline to enter is October 31st at 12:00 noon, Mountain Time, which also happens to be the culmination of the Log Your Memory SPOOK-tacular Grand Opening weekend! More about that in the next week or two…

So just what is this new book I keep referring to? It’s really my answer to a problem I’ve been having for some time now … too many things to remember, tons of ideas & inspiration, stacks and stacks of photos (both print & digital) … and not enough time to get it all scrapbooked before I forget what I wanted to do with it all.

Sound familiar? If so, you are in the right place & you are going to want to get my book. I will go into much greater detail about the book tomorrow, but you can check it out HERE while you are waiting.

Once my idea for the Logbook started to take shape, it quickly evolved into what you see today … a full-fledged online community including a community forum, layout gallery, chat room, bookstore, gift shop, and so much more. My goal is to create a supportive, inspiring & fun-filled community that will start to feel like home and family for all of us and let us connect with lots of wonderful folks with common interests. I hope you will join me in this adventure and invite your friends to do the same!

In the next week or so, I’ll be sharing more detailed information about what is available on this site and what’s on the calendar for the coming weeks. For now, I hope you’ll take a minute to register as a member and then wander around the site to get a taste of all there is to do and see.

Want to be sure you don’t miss anything? Sign up HERE to get an update by email every time there is a new post.

Thanks again for stopping by … and please make yourself at home! {Psstt… you can start by leaving me a note below (after you register) to let me know you were here!!!}
