On the "calendar" part I am recording the highs/lows of the weather. We are having such a weird January with weather, so I am keeping track daily which might spark a layout for winter. I did not print the daily calendar sheets because I bought a planner before this one but I am printing daily sheets if something happens and I want to do more journaling. For example, for my 12 of 12 page, I printed the day (12th), did the journaling, sketched a layout I liked and now everything is together when I go and do the layout.
I have also have before each month, a list of things I want to capture for that month. I also keep on this list ideas that I find, like you Valentine project, I made a note on the "February Project List" where the idea is, i.e. downloaded or need to purchase or blog post so when I work on that idea, I can remember where I found it. Also on my project sheet I keep notes of things we did so when I do my monthly roundup, some info is right on that page, instead of paging through all the calendars.
For the challenges, I read through the challenges and make notes on the page. Some ideas I might have/pages I like.
This book works for me and I love it. I am such a visual person and everything is in one spot, easy to carry around which makes me happy. Having the download version allows me to print only what I need and not get overwhelmed. I have tried other methods of keeping track of ideas and stuff and everything just felt so scattered.
Okay enough for now. I can't tell enough how much this book works for me. ~Ann
