Why do I scrap my real life? My memory sucks! As easy as that... if I don't, who's going to remember?? My hubby who doesn't notice if I got a haircut? Or my two year old who doesn't remember that he JUST ate...![]()

well done with the sausages eryn. my FIL complains about his mum cooking sausages from one side through. ewww.
OK so have you noticed I've been avoiding the question for this thread (not that I procrastinate)? I have trouble coming up with succinct dot points. I am much more of a rambler.
I think i have a deep fear of my life being insignificant. To my family, friends, to the communities in which I live and work. I worry that my daily worries, struggles and achievements don't matter or make an impact on the world. Analysing and recording what happens in my real life is my way of digging deeper and finding the impact I am making, however small. I know that working through the tantrums and 'I wants' with my four year old, or the sleepless nights with the bub, or working to stay on the right page together with hubby is all about making the world better in a small way. Recording my feelings at difficult times is important (and a form of therapy!) because I can look back in the next struggle and realise I can overcome. And it's also an opportunity to celebrate the wonderful joy that is part of daily life. I love looking back at generations-old photos, but am disappointed to find a small collection of studio portraits. I used to love when my Nanna had a few each Christmas and we would sit picking the crumbs out of the lace tablecloth and she would tell me what she probably thought were the most banal stories- like how many buses she had to catch after work during the months she would go to her aunt's place to work on her wedding dress, or fitting three great danes in a mini with my uncle paul to take them to a show...these are the stories of our souls, it scares me to think that they just disappear into the unknown when we go.
whoa. i realllllllllllllllly rambled then. sorry kids. hey, anyone burning anything? :P
