What a topic! Well, I'm generally a night owl. My inner clock can get easily screwed up if I don't try to stick to a bedtime. I'm also a person who requires AT LEAST 8 hours of sleep. I'm probably a 9 hour sleeper by nature. I haven't had that in a few years. Right now I try to go to bed at 11pm but I admit if I'm working on a layout I lose track of time. Usually when my head hits the pillow my son wakes up for his feeding. Then he wakes up 4 or 5 hours later. Then right after my daughter wakes up and climbs into bed with me. Then my son wakes up for the day. So.... I THINK I sleep somewhere in there. I'm guessing I've been going on 4-5 hours of sleep for a REALLY LONG TIME!

Often don't go to bed until 1 a.m., same with my husband. I sleep in pretty late, as I take a sleeping pill for insomnia that takes 12 hours to wear off totally, so I'm usually awake between 9:30 - 10:30, sometimes I cuddle with my dog after I wake up, so I might stay in bed with him another 20 minutes. My husband gets up earlier than I do, I don't know what time he wakes up, sometimes about 8 or 9 I think. He takes a nap every day for about an hour or two, and I get jealous of that, so I'll try to take a nap but I usually can't. I do have fibromyalgia and headaches so often I will lay down just to rest my body or my headache for a half hour or hour. So that's it in a nutshell.
I was glad to read your post. Because I am the same way. I usually go to bed between 11:30pm and 12:30pm on weekdays. Getting up around 8-8:30am. But on weekends when I don't have to work...that is a different story. I won't go to bed until 3 or 4am, and then sleep until noon or 1pm the following day. But I also DON'T HAVE KIDS. So I can get away with that.

Also, my MIL had Fibro. She sleeps a lot because of the pain. She recently found she had a hole in heart. Had surgery on that. It seems to have helped a bit. Just thought I would pass that along. Since I know that it is a hard illness to figure out meds and stuff for. Anyway, you deserve the rest!

It's 9pm and I should be heading to bed now. I try to be in bed by 9:30 and I'm up at 5:40 am. I really need at least 7 hours of sleep. Off to bed now

I'm trying to train myself into a better sleep/wake cycle. I used to be able to sleep through anything, I slept so hard. Then with the arrival of children I wake at anything! I am trying to start my sleep routine at 10PM and then get up between 5:30 and 6AM. Of course, as I type this it is 10:30PM! Great plans ...
