    Default Do you workout?

    I am trying. I hate exercising. With a red-hot, fiery passion I hate it.

    So, I got up early and got on the treadmill and I walked. It's more than I have been doing, so I felt pretty good about going .85 miles. That's as far as I got before DS woke up and wanted breakfast. I'll do it again in the morning. <sigh>

    I'd love to know what has worked for you, or what you are doing in the New Year to workout. Oh, and do you like it?

    I'm not a huge exercise fan either, though I am better if I have a friend to work out with. I was hoping to start C25K, and did while I was at my parents' house (they have a treadmill), but now that I am home, I am trying to figure out if I would use a treadmill enough to justify the cost, or if I should just join a gym.

    Good for you for getting in there and starting...sometimes that's half the battle!

    I have a gym membership and only use the treadmill. so when this membersip is up, I will be just buying a treadmill and putting it in my basement in front of my tv. I love to watch trash tv and walk the tredmill.

    Also have a kinnect, and love to play with my kids. sweating after 15 mins.

    I usually do the treadmill and once around a 30 minute circuit - like they have at Curves but it is just at our gym. I used to do water aerobics. I am starting C25K this year (well started Monday but didn't get to do it today and won't Thurs or Fri so really starting next week. Also we got Just Dance 2 for the Wii - great family fun and a little workout too.

    I have EA Active, EA Active 2, and WiiFit, plus several other types of "games" and work-out DVDs. Eventually, we're going to have a house w/ room for a treadmill

    ugh... I hate working out... but the things that I do like to do is weight lifting. My mom used to come early in the morning to watch kiddo and Hubby and I would go work out... that was great to work out together. Hope to get back into that when the weather isn't -10 in the morning. Otherwise I love aqua zumba class... it's the zumba class but at my YMCA, they put it in the water. I love anything to do in the water - yoga, aerobics, and water running (which is really cool)... just wish I had more time to work out, but I feel guilty asking my mom to always watch kiddo... and I hate to put kiddo in drop in care... but those are my issues to work through.

    I use to LOVE working out. Years ago. These days not so much. I have just this week started exercising again, in conjunction with my New Years resolution to be healthier and fitter. I am making sure I do a minimum of one hours exercise a day, and so far that has consisted of a 45 minute walk each day followed by an exercise DVD (Cardio kickbox or pilates). We don't have a treadmill at home, and I don't belong to a gym anymore, but it's summer here, so I have no excuse to not get out and walk. I do my walk between 6-7am before hubby goes to work. At 7am I do my exercise DVD. By the time I've finished that the kids are up and ready for breakfast. I wanted to get started on the 30 Day Shred, but can't find the DVD anywhere. I had it before Christmas, but it's gone walkabout somewhere in the house. I'll probably have to buy another one.
