    Default Getting motivated?!?!?!?!

So I have been missing in action for the past oh......over 2 months! 24/7 morning sickness has put a damper on all my scrapping motivation!

So now I really want to get back in the groove but I'm just not feeling it!
I'm still tired and just trying to catch up with everything else in life.

So what do you do when you've lost your urge to scrap? Any ideas for me?

I know when the new baby comes I will have a reason to scrap again but I have a ton of pics from vacations the summer and pics of my kids.......HELP!!!!

Looking forward to hearing what gets you going!!!!!!

Hi! I think I must have joined the community while you were absent.

I am having the same problem, though mine only started sometime earlier this month. As an obsessive scrapper, I decided to take the WHOLE weekend off. I had gotten to a point last week where I just frustrated myself by staring at a blank canvas in PS, so I decided not even to open the program all weekend. I spent lots of extra time with my kids instead -- we went to a museum, played video games together, and just hung out. Here it is Tuesday and I have FINALLY been able to put together some generic pages, but nothing for my personal use, only for CT requirements. But being able to put together the brag book pages I needed to do felt good, and I'm hoping tomorrow I'll be able to put together an actual layout. I guess the short story is I take time off if I can't find my mojo. And if that alone doesn't help, then I don't try to do my own scrapping, but spend as much time as I can in the galleries getting ideas. Start back slow, scraplift something that inspires you.

But when the baby comes, you'll definitly have a lot to keep you busy, scrapping and IRL.

When I need mojo I always turn to templates. It helps me get started and I try to pick the photos I like best. It seems once I get rolling I can get back in the groove quickly. It is so hard to be creative all the time when there are so many other things to do! Best of luck!!!

For me, I find just the actual act of scrapbooking is enough to bring back my mojo. Generally, I will do a couple of layouts that I am not entirely pleased with, but after that, it all goes much smoother. Doing a few challenges (either online or ones I make up myself) are usually enough to focus my mind so that I can get through those first layouts and back into the "groove".
