They Say

So, I was replying in another thread and I realized I kept saying, they say, and that made me think of one of my favorite moves, Elizabethtown and the bit they had in there about they say, and who cares what they say?!

And it got me to thinking about how this might be a fun page to do. So list 'em if you can think of them. You know all those things we hear or read that they say.

And I am going to steal from Jend from another thread because what she said is a perfect example of what I mean....If you don't use it in a year, odds are you won't miss it. So get rid of it. (ok, so not exactly what she said, but that is what I have heard them say, rofl).

Not talking about old wives tales or the like, but those things mostly heard in self help areas. There is a good one in the movie, but I can't think of it at the moment, and once I find the DVD I will watch it again to find it and list it here. I will be back to list my own as I think of them because my mind just went totally blank!

lol I do this a lot...quoting "they" hahaha!! Can't think of any examples offhand though!
