New feature for Facebook users
We have some new features that might be of interest to the Facebook users in our community.
First of all, you will notice a Share button for Facebook in each forum thread. This is pretty straightforward - if you'd like to share that thread or comment, simply hit the Share button & go from there.
Next, if you choose, you can create a bridge for yourself between our forum and your Facebook page. This will enable you to sign in/out once for both places, use the same avatar, post to your Facebook Wall, and receive notifications in FB when there is new action on threads in our forum that you have participated in, as well as a number of other features that you can choose to turn on and off.
To set up this bridge, visit your User CP page and scroll all the way to the bottom left to "Facebook Bridge" and click on "Options". You will then be offered the chance to create a connection. Click on that button, fill in the requested info & set your preferences.
This is brand new in our forum so I am still figuring out just how it works. If you run into problems, feel free to contact me and we'll see if we can figure out what's happening...
Setting this up also required the creation of a FB application, which appears as a fan page. For that reason, I am moving our old "Friends of Log Your Memory" to the new "Log Your Memory Community" FB page. If you are a member of the Friends group, I hope you'll move on over with us. Any new posts, etc. will now happen on the new page.
