Lightbulb Looking for ideas/inspiration re: Pen Pal

    Hi Everyone!!

Remember years ago pen palling was so popular!?

I have a brand new snail mail pen pal and she is located in Australia. She's just a few years older than myself with one daughter and one son, and married. That is all I know about her right now.

When I write to her I would like to include a few goodies for her, and I'm looking for some ideas/inspiration.

What would you like to find in an envelope from your pen pal?

    Thanks for the ideas/inspiration!!

Hey girlie! That's cool! I'd say since you don't know her or much about her just yet or her hobbies, stick with some general things. Copies of favorite (easy) recipes, maybe some cartoon clippings r/t being a mom, a set of notecards (handmade!) that she can use to either write back or send/give to her friends -tie up in a ribbon w/ envelopes, a pretty grocery list notepad, decorate one of those hollow barrel clear pens (Pentel) with a scrap of pretty paper or to match the grocery list pad. Anything with her monogram on it. Oh, and their seasons are opposite of ours - but the holidays are roughly the same. So if you sent something soon (I always tried to send stuff out with the idea that it may take 2 weeks to get there, even though that may not always be the case), you could send heart/valentine-y things that she could maybe decorate with, make valentine things with her kids or for her kids/family, etc.

All girls love pretty and as you know, as Mom's we don't often splurge on things for ourselves! So, if you're tempted to buy it for yourself and it's not exactly hobby related, I'd say go for it. And have fun!!

That is hard with knowing so little. Things I would like to get:

Gum or candies, especially in local flavors (like GA has lots of peach candies here)
Cute post-its or other note pads
Maybe some photos of where my pen pal lives
Maybe a Q&A like 10 questions that both of us answer to get to know each other better
    A book mark
    A magnet for the fridge?
    A pretty pen
A cute key chain can be fun

    Just random ideas
