Musically Inspired Scrapbooking

Time Capsule: Weekly Challenge #46… Extended

The first idea that popped into my mind when I read the challenge was how music gets me in the cleaning mood. Once I saw the topic I thought about where I wanted to go with the theme. I knew what radio station I always turned the radio on. I just wasn’t sure on if I wanted to include just pictures, have a photo-less layout, or incorporate both.

When I work on a layout the first think I think of is what kit I have that will work great with this. I am always having a problem with girly layouts. Being the only female in the house it seems I dream, sleep, and see blue. It’s a good thing blue is my favorite color. Yet, sometimes you just want something that symbolizes you. I always find whatever kit I think speaks to me for that particular topic or whatever mood I’m trying to portray. Then I look for my template and get ideas on where I want to go with that particular topic. Then I put everything together and once I get to that point. I normally know exactly what it is I want someone else to know about me.

I tried to convey the good in when I listen to music. I tried to forget that a few months ago I was going through songs for my 7-month-old nephew’s memorial DVD.  However, I love to crank up the radio and sing as loud as I can. I sometimes wonder if anyone can hear me singing and wonder if I have lost my mind.

The thing I found most difficult with this challenge was trying to figure out if I wanted to use photos or not. The way I got past that was using photo’s then adding paper and song titles. I then closed out the photos then looked at the layout. Then opened the photos and looked at the layout. Some suggestions to help you with the journaling for this challenge are… When you think of music what do you hear? Favorite songs? Why are those your favorite songs?

Here are some ideas for those who may be struggling with the challenge. What are your top three songs you listen to on your iPod, computer, or radio? When you listen to your favorite song what do you feel? What TV channel do you watch the most? What comes on that channel?

I am unfortunately not really good at updating it often but, if you have any questions or comments I would love to hear them.
