Time Capsule: Weekly Challenge #27… Extended
Good morning blog readers!! I’m excited to share this week’s challenge with you. When I first read the challenge, I was excited. One thing I hold dear to my heart is our family dinner time.
In different forums, I’ve read about what is normal in each family. I feel lucky enough in my family to have my family eat all together, at the dinner table each night. Some nights, we might eat late but we eat 95% of the time as a family. Also, I love to cook dinner, not reheat frozen food!!
So when I read the challenge, I wanted share and document the items I find useful when I cook dinner. I immediately hit the scrapbook stores and searched kitchen. I found a few here and there. I looked for a kit that would fit my style. When I search for a kit, I also search the gallery to get ideas of what is in that kit. That was my next step! Then of course, since I’m in the gallery I look at layout ideas as well!
I mentally took notes of ideas and thoughts I liked in the galleries. Then I set down to work! I have my go-to cookbooks I knew I had to put in the layout. Also, I am a menu planner. I actually keep past menus for ideas. Those needed to be in there too! I would love to throw the idea out there for meal planning, plan meals that use the same meat in a different way so you only have to cook the meat once!
Here a site I found with the perfect menu planner!!
I’m Kate Lewis. I live in a rural town in Utah. I have 3 kiddos and a loving hubby. I’m currently teaching kindergarten to 20 little darlings. I love to cook, bake, and read but really who has time for that? I really prefer to spend my free nights snuggled up in pj’s watching a movie with my family. Digi-scrapping became my stress reliever!! Unfortunately I am not able to spend as much time as I’d like!! So I live with the stress! I also love the hybrid aspect of the digi world!! If I have a free minute, I try to update my blog http://ourdailydilemma.blogspot.com If you get a chance, check it out!!!
