If capturing everyday real life memories through story-based scrapbooking is your passion, our weekly Story Board was created especially for you! There were certainly a lot of Christmas related pages in the galleries this week. Here are a few of my favorite holiday and everyday layouts…
The story told in this journaling is of such a special bond. I have watched my own kids form this same bond, and I love the way navaja77 has shared a quick snapshot of the year. This is a great set of pictures of the two of them over time. The layers are very dimensional and make me want to reach out and touch the page.
I love the bright fun colors on this page, especially with the black main paper. The paper rays and clustering of the elements really bring your attention to the photos. When I took a closer look at the journaling, I was touched at the story, and it mirrored a day I had with my daughter recently too.
I really like the multiphoto layout of this page, and the frames set off each photo without overpowering. The use of a floral paper helps echo the snow feel and elements without being overly themed, and the journaling over the photo is a great way to tell the story without competing with the page design.
I love the reflection that went into the journaling on this page. Capturing the memories of this young child will help keep that feeling of wonder alive well into the future. I can just see this little girl reading this page as a young woman and having the memory of the apple ornament come to mind. The desaturated tones in the photos really give the whole page a timeless feel.
I love the sweetness in the photos and the black and white photos against all the bright papers and elements. I had a little one find a gift early, prompting my older child to also request an early gift. Capturing the gifts and hugs like this really cements this family moment.
I really like the letter style of this page, with the text squarely on one side and the photos lining the other. The memories noted here are definitely highlights worth remembering in years to come, and this page does a great job of condensing 365 days into one single page.
This is a great “looking ahead” page. As we close out one year, it’s a great time to project and decide what we want for the future. This is a resolution I’m sure many of us, myself included, will be making in the coming weeks. I love the asymmetric design, with the text and cluster seeming to lie freeform on the page.
That’s it for this week’s Story Board!! Check back every Wednesday for another collection of layouts selected to help inspire you to scrap YOUR everyday real life!
