Document Those Holiday Traditions

I have been planning for Christmas and trying to get everything in order. I just realized that my boys haven’t finished their letters for Santa. That is always a big thing at our house at Christmas time and I always try to capture them on film so we can remember them.

My boys also love to see Santa so they can tell him in person what they want for Christmas! It is a tradition that we always go to the same place to see Santa. It might seem kind of silly, but it means a lot to the boys because they always know where Santa’s house is. As a matter of fact we are going to see him this week. I can’t wait. And not every trip to see Santa has been all smiles as you can see. Gavin wasn’t a big fan of Santa in the beginning.

These are two of my favorites from one of our visits to Santa. Obviously, my youngest was not happy about getting to sit with Santa. I cannot wait to capture his happiness this year because he is thrilled!

So, here is my tip for you. If you have a tradition, whether it be something big or small, make sure to try and document it. I know I can’t wait for my boys to be able to look back later in life at their visits to Santa… even the unhappy ones.

May you and your family be blessed this holiday season!
