Itʼs February 1 and that means we have a new monthly theme here at Log Your Memory.
This monthʼs theme is appropriately called “Loves of My Life.” Each week, our theme will be centered around the loves of our lives, whether it be certain people, passions, or objects.
To get your creative juices flowing, hereʼs a list of ideas for the different loves in your lives…
- Spouse/Significant other
- Best friend
- A favorite teacher
- A favorite actor/actress/author
- A Religious leader
- An ancestor who has touched your life
- A favorite book
- A favorite movie
- A favorite place
- A favorite food
- A favorite place
- Family heirlooms
- A certain piece of jewelry
- A certain book
- Special photographs
- Old letters
- Pieces of furniture
- Knick knacks
- A favorite piece of clothing/shoes
Whatever it is that evokes that feeling of love in your life, scrap it. There are endless possibilities when it comes to the people, passions and objects we love. For instance, when my grandmother passed away in 2009, I inherited a green antique china cabinet that she had restored. That piece of furniture has quickly become one object that I simply adore. I am proud to have inherited it, and when I look at it, I feel an overwhelming love for my grandma and a barrage of memories fill my soul.
And just to give you a little more inspiration, hereʼs some recent layouts from our gallery…
nikkiARNGwife scrapped this page about her sweetheart and a recent date night they had.
libbysmommy scrapped about her love for crochet and how it is something that relaxes her.
SmallMoments scrapped about her love for this cute little pair of shoes.
I also feel the need to stress here that you could think outside the box and scrap about the loss of a special person or even object. The layout below illustrates just my point.
Sasha recently lost her sweet little one-month-old nephew Johan. She scrapped this layout to illustrate her love for him, as well as her profound feelings of loss. I had to add this in because there are many of us who are grieving the loss of loved ones and I thought it was important to stress that we should also scrap the bittersweet moments in our lives as well.
So, thatʼs our new monthly theme for February. I hope that you now feel inspired and have a plan of attack on how you intend to scrap this monthʼs challenges. Iʼll see you all in the gallery!! Have a wonderful February!
