Story Board~ 07.21.2010

From missing goldfish to a natural born “griller,” we found all kinds of fantastic everyday, real life scrapbooking inspiration for you this week …

"Mowing the Lawn" by abhall76

I just love the clothesline effect in “Mowing the Lawn” by abhall76. It’s a fun way to share a sequence of photos about this memorable first and the crisp white photo borders really caught my eye in the gallery.

"Love" by LaurenReid

There’s a lot to “Love” in this fun page by Lauren Reid, from the soft palette to the treatment of those adorable photos to the fun placement of the embellishments.

"Missing Goldfish" by mfallis

The bright colors and title work in “Missing Goldfish” by mfallis first caught my eye … and then the fun story, including the snippets of conversation between mother and daughter, really brought it all together.

"I Collect Memories" by bderby

I love the collection of thumbprint photos in “I Collect Memories” by bderby … and even more, I enjoyed reading the list of all the different types of memories collected and the reason for doing so. Great title work, too.

"My Place in the World" by valeriapiemonte

The overall design of “My Place in the World” by valeriapiemonte is just beautiful, from the clever photo cutouts to the well placed embellishments to the perfect color scheme. The story is just as appealing, including the explanation for those blank “no photo” boxes. Love everything about this page…

"Natural Born Griller" by grandma lynnie

Clever title, fun photos, fantastic title work, nice neutral color scheme that lets the main photo with its red grill really pop … it was a cinch to find lots of features to love in “Natural Born Griller” by grandma lynnie.

"I See Life" by Gabi

I think it was this photo that really attracted me to “I See Life” by Gabi, though I really like the use of the stamp on top of the photo and the simple yet pretty design of the page. The story behind it all is pretty neat, too…

"Not Everyday" by nicleblanc

Another fantastic photo … it totally makes me wish I could find a way to get this kind of vantage point in my own living room. I love how nicleblanc captured this rare, yet so very authentic, family moment. Can’t you just see yourself there with them, feet up on the coffee table reading a great magazine, perhaps?

That wraps up this week’s Story Board! Check back every Wednesday for another round of real life scrapbooking inspiration.
