Ready for another round of “real life” inspiration to help you scrap your everyday life? Check out these finds from around the Web this week…
I just love how scrappyt shared the story of how she became the scrapper she is today in “Developing a Friendship with Me.” Great journaling and such a fun presentation of all of those miniature layouts!
The soft colors and pretty layering in “With You” by fa11enange1 really caught my eye. There’s a good deal of journaling on this page, but the design really lets it fade into the background and allows that great photo to take center stage. There’s also a really nice contrast between the journaling font and the scripty accent font.
The title alone of “6 Men to Read a Map” by dna13 cracked me up and the photo just makes it even better. I love that she took the time to notice and document this funny memory.
What better way to showcase a typical day with a 1 1/2 year old than “Simply… Everyday… Joy” by JenniferHignite? The photos are fabulous and the use of the intentionally haphazard journaling strips, stitching and elements really fit with the overall story.
The sweet photo in “Nothin’ but Blue Skies” by Jenna combined with the soft stamped background first attracted me to this page … and the more I looked, the more I liked it. I am especially fond of the titlework and the way the page feels like a collection of special items. When I gaze at this, images of a beach cottage, an old typewriter and a worn journal filled with special memories come to mind…
“It’s AAM” by DoodleBop pretty much jumps out at you in the galleries … and judging from the long string of comments underneath the original post, I know I’m not the only one who feels this way. Love the playful feel, the cluster of photos and quotes, and the way the background paper really directs your eye.
The narrow, vertical journaling strip in “~Summer~” by Cherry lends an interesting design to this page and I love the bright, playful color scheme. The use of the photo with the “beach” title is also a nice touch.
There are so many fun summer memories in “H2O Fun” by pne123. This is another page with a very fresh, summery feel and I love the way all of the journaling cards have a consistent feel, yet each has its own unique design. Just another really great page to add to my summer layout idea arsenal…
That’s it for this week! Check back every Wednesday for a new collection of real life scrapbooking pages … and in the meantime, scrap a few of your own and share them in our gallery! We’d love to see your work!!
