And that brings us to our second reason to celebrate … today is our official release date for our newest addition to the Memory Logbook series … Baby’s First Year Memory Logbook.
Baby’s First Year Memory Logbook includes 344 pages packed with space to record all of your favorite baby’s memories from birth through their first birthday.
The book is divided into five sections, including an introduction to the book, baby’s first days, week-by-week, month-by-month, first-year milestones & records, and first birthday memories. Like our other Memory Logbooks, this book has been designed to be an all-in-one place to record ideas, activities, anecdotes and other memories, collect memorabilia, stash photos and find inspiration.
This Logbook is intended to take the place of the more traditional baby book, with special features of particular interest to scrapbooking moms and those who enjoy taking lots of photos of their newest bundle of joy. In fact, there is even designated space to place a photo for every single day of baby’s first year, making this a perfect complement to a baby-focused photo-a-day project. Another scrapbook-related feature is a set of 12 theme pages full of prompts and photo suggestions to inspire monthly layouts. Sample themes include baby’s name, favorite toys, and daily routines.

The entire book is designed with a consistent square style, right down to the actual memory-keeping area. In fact, it is possible to convert these pages directly to scrapbook layouts simply by cutting out the central 8-by-8-inch area of each page (removing the top and bottom square borders) and inserting it into a clear protective sleeve of an 8-by-8-inch album. A Tip Sheet with more details on how to do this will be made available here on the blog in the coming weeks. Additionally, all photo areas are squares, making it possible to adapt both horizontal and vertical photos for use, as well as use a variety of square paper punches for photos as well as patterned papers.
The book has also been designed to accommodate a variety of families and is not specific to a particular calendar year. Specific holidays, celebrations and religious activities are not mentioned, rather there is space allotted to customize the book to include only those which are important to you. Blank calendar pages, ample space for journaling, photos or other memorabilia, and generalized weekly prompts are among the many features.
Like our other books, Baby’s First Year Memory Logbook is available in a variety of formats, including both print and downloadable PDF. To help keep costs down, most print editions include a full-cover cover with black and white interior pages. However, there is one premium edition available which is full-color throughout with a hardback cover. The downloadable edition is also full-color throughout, as shown in the above samples.
